The uniform battle

Every sport has them, and they help to define the sport they represent. Some look ridiculous (figure skating), and some are non existent (bowling), but every sport has some sort of uniform. Of course, baseball has the greatest uniforms because it is the greatest sport.

W&L breaks losing streak; starts a new winning streak

The Generals baseball team, coming off their significant losing streak of the season in which they dropped a doubleheader to Virginia Wesleyan and then a midweek game to Bridgewater, rebounded in a big way to start a new positive run. Prior to the losing streak, W&L had won nine in-a-row, but then began to struggle when their bats went cold.

The Yankees: the Harvard of baseball

When driving on a highway, everything works fine most of the time because there is a tacit agreement between people to not go completely crazy. You stay in your lane, and I will stay in mine. Anything else means disaster. The free agent market in Major League Baseball these days is similar, when one person goes bananas, everyone else feels inadequate for not going bananas enough.

The NBA: Kobe Bryant's league

Kobe Bryant has propelled the Lakers to five straight victories in a row, scoring an average of 53.6 points per game and giving the Lakers momentum as the playoffs quickly approach. Dallas and San Antonio have locked up playoff births and Phoenix has clinched the Pacific Division.

Generals ride perfect record all the way to San Antonio

Washington and Lee women's tennis team will be traveling to San Antonio this week to participate in the Fab Five tournament, riding a perfect 12-0 record into their biggest test of the season. The Fab Five is a tournament that features teams ranked atop the national Divison III rankings.
